Final Task (Weeks 8 & 9) - 4 Class Blocks Total
SPEECH WRITING WILL BEGIN ON:
- 8 May (GRYFFINDOR) and 11 May (SLYTHERIN).
- You will have 4 class blocks to write the speech
- You cannot work on this outside of class time
- Read the Task Sheet below and begin writing your speech on the date indicated above

This unit, you will be writing a SPEECH that exhibits Allyship with a particular community. You were going to be an option to write a play script, a biography, or a short story exhibiting the same, but there may not be enough time to complete it amidst our current online-learning situation, so please plan of writing a SPEECH now. Please don't let the Task Sheet confuse you regarding this update.

Week 5 -6 Tasks:
These 3 questions should be documented on your "Digital Writer's Notebook" on Google Classroom - NOT your student as Ally Badge Page.
1. Read through the Task Sheet and the TSC.
2. Look back on your notes from the last 5 weeks. Identify a historically marginalized community you would like to stand with in Allyship.
3. Over the weekend, consider which Stimulus Texts you might use to inspire your speech and inform you more about your chosen community's needs. Write down any ideas that come to you. By next week, you should have at least 3 stimulus text ideas written down and read.
Quantity of stimulus texts required based on text type:
3 poems/songs
2 documentaries (if they are short). 1 full length documentary is fine.
2 short stories
2 podcasts
1 film
1 novel
